London 2012 Gold Coins

With the Olympics and Paralympics in London coming close, the whole of the UK is preparing for this premier world sporting event. The coins in the gold series feature the classic Olympic designs of all the other coins. They are available in 3 different sets named Faster, Higher and Stronger with three coins each. The Faster series contains a ₤100 coin with one troy ounce of gold and two ₤25 coins of a quarter ounce each. Each coin in the set features the image of an Olympic sport along with that of a Roman God or Goddess. The second set, “Higher” captures the spirit of the ancient games played by the roman gods and goddesses in 22 karat gold. “Stronger”, the third set, very much follows the same style. The names of the three sets put together make the official motto of the Olympic Games- Faster, Higher, Stronger.
